How to Export a list of your Mailboxes¶
To ease your mailboxes’ management, Gandi has added to your product’s administration a tool to export a list of your mailboxes, in a .csv format.
Note
Tool only export a list of mailboxes linked to a domain name, or some or all of your domain names, with their details. This tool DO NOT EXPORT the content of your mailboxes. To export Mailbox(es) contents, please refer to this documentation.
Export a list of the mailboxes of one domain name¶
Log in your Gandi account, and select DOMAIN in the main (left) menu.
In the domain list, search the one you want from which you want to export a mailboxes list. You can use filters to help yourself.
Click on the domain name, or use the button to the right : “Manage”.
On the overview page, click on “Email” tab on the top menu.
In the right corner of the mailboxes list table, you can see a “gear” (⚙) icon. Click on it.
Choose “Export all as CSV”. Export can take from a few seconds to a plain minute, depending on the number of mailboxes. Then you will be prompt to choose a location where saving the file. Choose an easy to remember location, and validate.
A CSV file can be generally opened with any “spreadsheet” software or application, and even be imported in online applications.
In the file, you will find the domain name, the “login” (i.e. : the name before the @), the complete mail address, is unique ID, used quota, mailbox type (Standard or Premium), creation date, is antispam activated, has automatic renewal activated, how many aliases are linked to a specific mailbox, its expiration date and, for older mailboxes, if they have to be converted to the new system.
Export a list of the mailboxes for all or part of your domain names¶
Log in your Gandi account, and select DOMAIN in the main (left) menu.
Select the “Advanced view”. It must be highlighted, with a dark background. If you see “checkboxes” to the left of the domains, you have the correct view.
In the domain list, search the one you want from which you want to export a mailboxes list. You can use filters to help yourself,
Check the “boxes” to the left of the domains you want to export the list for. If you want to export a list for all your domains, just check the box on the top of the table. If you have more than one page of domain displayed, select them all, then go to the following page, select all the domains again, and so on. You can check you have correctly added the domains to the selection by checking the number of domains in the contextual menu, on the bottom of the page.
As soon as you select at least one domain, a contextual menu will open on the bottom of the page. Just click on the “Export” button.
In the new opened window (“Choose your export type”), check “Mailboxes and mail forwardings, and click on “Continue”.
Depending on the number of domain names and mailboxes, the export can take some time to generate and prompt an invitation to save the file. If the export takes too much time, you will be prompt with a message specifying the email address which will be used to send the export file to.
