How to Increase the Storage Size of a Mailbox

If you are using a Standard mailbox, you get 10GB of storage.

However, if this is not enough, you can increase your mailbox’s storage capacity to 50 GB by upgrading it from Standard to Premium.

You can do this by following these steps:

  1. After logging in, click “Domain” in the left menu.

  2. Click on the name of domain used in the address you want to increase.

  3. Click on the “Email” tab near the top of the page.

  4. Click on the menu icon (⁝) next to the email address you want to increase.

  5. Click “Upgrade to 50GB” in the popup menu.

  6. A new expiration date is calculated. Click on Upgrade to start the operation.

Note that it is recommended to close all your Mail application using this mail address during this process.

Alternatively, you can use the “Upgrade to 50GB” button in the Storage block on the mail address detail page.

Important

When the expiration date of the mailbox is too close, you will not be able to upgrade the mailbox. An explicit warning message will be displayed. You just have to renew the mailbox, then upgrade it.

Decrease of the Storage size of a Mailbox

The decrease of a Premium Mailbox to a Standard one works in the same manner, the difference being that the validation period of the mailbox is extended of the pro rata. The remaining cost of the decrease is added to your expiration date.
