Creating an email address

Before proceeding, please assure that your domain name is using Gandi’s MX records:

@ 10800 IN MX 10
@ 10800 IN MX 50
@ 10800 IN TXT "v=spf1 ?all"

If this is not the case, your GandiMail addresses will not work.

1. Choose the domain

You need to choose the domain that will be the basis of the email address. It is the part that will come after the @ sign in the address.

Once you are in the domain’s administration area, click “Email” in the navigation menu and “Create” if it is your first email address for the domain.

2. Create the address

On the email mailbox creation form, you need to start by choosing if it will be a Standard (3GB) or a Premium (50GB) mailbox.

Then, provide your:

  • email address: specify the first part of the address, meaning, what you want to come before the @
  • password: choose a complex password for your email address.
  • Alias: this is an optional field for use in creating aliases

Finally, once you accept the contract and validate, your mailbox will be created.

You can then access your emails via webmail or by your email application.
