When do I use a TXT record?¶
A TXT record is a type of resource record that is often used to show providers (google, office365, web hosts, etc.) that you are the owner of a domain name.
Can I have an example?¶
Here are a couple examples:
- Use @ to represent the bare domain (“example.com”):
@ 10800 IN TXT "whatever the text is you need to add"
- Use the name of a subdomain, such as something (“something.example.com”):
