How to Set Up IP Restrictions for Your Gandi Account

It is possible to limit access to your Gandi personal account by allowing access only from IP addresses that you specify.

Warning

You must only specify public static (does not change) IP addresses. If you are unsure whether or not your ISP provides you with a static IP address, then you should verify that you have a static IP address before activating this feature. If your IP address is not static you will block yourself from accessing your account as soon as your IP address changes.

Add an IP Restriction

To activate an IP Restriction on your account, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your account.

  2. In the top right corner of the page click the arrow next to your username.

  3. Click “User Settings.”

  4. Click “Change password & configure access restrictions.”

  5. Click “Add an IP Restriction.”

  6. Enter your current password and one or more authorized IP addresses. Add 1 IP address per line. Be sure to include both IPv4 and IPv6 if you have an IPv6 connection.

  7. Click “Save.”

Blocked Account

If your IP address changes and you are blocked from accessing your account you can remove the IP restrictions by contacting support and providing a completed copy of this form.
