Pack DNS Security+

The Pack DNS Security+ is a new service offered to allow you to further secure your most sensitive domains. Its goal is to :

  • to better control the administration of your domain by securing the edition of technical and administrative parameters.

  • improve response times for your domain and,

  • anticipate the risks of DDOS and DNS hijacking.

It is composed of the following elements:

  • Improved DNS resolution and better redundancy

  • An additional layer of protection on all sensitive modifications made to domains protected by the pack DNS security+ .

  • Unlimited DNS zone backup and restore capabilities, allowing archiving and versioning of different zones to revert to a previous configuration.

  • A certificate of ownership of your domain name.

Protection of sensitive operations

To protect the following operations, we require a second authentication via a code sent by email, protecting against fraudulent access to the resource:

  • Unlocking the domain for transfer

  • Modification of name servers (DNS)

  • Web redirections

  • DNS records edition

(for example preventing the addition of fraudulent email services to your DNS and usurping your brand image)

  • Editing DNS templates

  • Editing contact templates.

  • Change of ownership

DNS redundancy and better resolution

We combine our high-performance Gandi Anycast DNS (Top ten worldwide) with a partner infrastructure providing enhanced security. So, in the event of a failure of the main DNS network, your DNS remains accessible.

DNS Backup

Unlimited backup of your DNS, both automatically and manually.

Domain ownership certificate

Allows you to obtain a certificate with the domain owner information. Useful for legal procedures and for extensions without whois

Warning

The Pack DNS Security+ works by redirecting traffic to your site via specific Name Servers. If you change the nameservers of your domain, the Gandi Security+ DNS service will be disabled.

How to subscribe to the pack DNS Security+

You can subscribe to the pack DNS Security+ service directly from the “Name servers” tab under your domain management, by following the steps below.

  1. Log in to your Gandi account, then click on “DOMAIN NAME” in the left navigation menu.

  2. Click on the domain name you want to protect with the Gandi DNS Security+ Pack.

  3. Click on the “Name Servers” tab for this domain name.

  4. Click on “**Subscribe to the pack DNS Security+ **” in the **pack DNS Security+ ** section.

  5. Click on the “Shopping Cart” icon in the top right corner of the page.

  6. Complete the purchase process as usual.

How to unsubscribe from the pack DNS Security+ service

  1. Log in to your Gandi account, then click on “DOMAIN NAME” in the left navigation menu.

  2. Click on the domain name for which you want to unsubscribe from the Gandi Security+ DNS service.

  3. Click on the “Name Servers” tab for this domain name.

  4. Click on “**Disable the pack DNS Security+ **” in the **DNS Security+ ** section.

Which domain extensions (TLDs) are compatible with the DNS Security+ Pack service?

We aim to support the maximum number of extensions (TLDs) possible for our Pack DNS Security+, but given the technical complexity, some TLDs are not compatible with the pack. The TLDs listed below are NOT compatible with these services:
