Choosing a domain name¶
The art of selecting a domain name involves choosing a name that fits its intended purpose; in other words, it is relevant, descriptive, short, and it is easy to pronounce and remember. However, this is easier said than done, as many common words have already been registered in the most saturated TLDs (such as .com).
The process starts once you have clicked on „Register a domain“.
Checking for availability¶
Enter the domain name that you want in the search engine. The interface will then present you with the results on the bottom of the page.
OPTIONS¶
Below the search field, you can see additional search options.
UNAVAILABLE: by default it hides domains that are unavailable, but you can choose to also show domains that are unavailable.
SEARCH TERMS: You can choose to see results that contain words you maybe did not think of, but are related to the ones you are looking for (Suggest related words), or you can stick to just combinations of the exact words you are looking for.
EXTENSIONS: you can choose to search among selected extensions only if you want.
Select the domains you want¶
Click on the domains that you want to register. This instantly adds them to the shopping cart:
You can add as many domains to the shopping cart as you wish. When you add a domain, an „X“ will appear next to it in the domain list - clicking on this (or the trashcan icon in the shopping cart) will remove the domain from your shopping cart.
