IP restriction¶
It is possible to limit access to your Gandi personal account by allowing access to only IP addresses that you specify.
You must only specify public static (does not change) IP addresses.
If you are not sure whether or not your ISP provides you with a static IP address, then do not activate this feature until you have verified this. You will block yourself out of Gandi’s website if your IP address changes!
You must be sure to specify both your IPv4 and your IPv6 if you have an IPv6 connection.
Add an IP restriction¶
To activate double authentication on Gandi’s website:
1. Go to your „Security“ page¶
To access your user settings click on your username in the top right corner of the page. Select „User Settings“ from the drop down menu.
Scroll down, and choose „Change password & configure access restrictions“.
From there, where you see „Restrict Login IP Addresses“, click on „Add an IP restriction“.
2. Add an IP restriction¶
On the form that appears, enter your account’s current password, and then the IP Addresses that you want to limit access to your account to.
